Sweet relief

Good news: Annie had a bowel movement. It was aided by a suppository and was an "explosion" according to the nurse. She said it was a machonium (sp?) plug, so hopefully everything will flow smoothly from here on out. Annie, like most premies, is still learning to remember to breath. Today she forgot again and it looks like we probably won't be able to hold her again for a few days--just give her some time to settle down and grow a bit. She weighs in now at 2.13, that means she's gained a couple ounces. She is 15 in long (gained an inch). She still loves to put her hands up by her face and tonight she even did the "thinking man" pose which was...thoughtful. So, things are going pretty well. She is now up to 13 cc every three hours on her feedings. Mmmmmm, she loves that good milk stuff!

Yay! Its amazing how happy you can be about these kinds of poopy diapers, eh? Nicki, I am feeling for you with the pumping. Is it going okay? I hope you're able to read a good book or something while you pump. I can't quite wrap my mind around how you can sneak away from the kids to do it...you're amazing! We keep praying for little Annie and family and miss you guys a lot. I'm so happy that she's drinking and gaining weight! That is thrilling.

Hope every day is an improvement. That breathing thing is tricky. Kimble was full term and he still had problems with it.
