We've had birthdays and celebrations going on around here. Elsie is now a five year old! She's seemed five for awhile just because she's always doing exactly what her older sister is doing. But she really was just four. Now she's a big girl. Have you heard that song from the muppets about being five, "I'm five, I'm five, I'm a big girl now I'm five. I'm even more than four and a half, I'm FIVE!!!!" It's a milestone. She asked if now she could go to Kindergarten. I said, "Sure". She said, "Like next week?". She's ready now but will be waiting for a year to go.
Now on the other hand. We also celebrated Grandpa Halvorsen's birthday. He turned the big 9-0! And he led us all on a hike up to Stewart Falls. He's amazing!
We are ready for fall and the witches in the air. Happy Hauntings!

Autumn Time

Okay, I haven't posted anything in a while because I can't figure out this silly blog--any ideas on why I can't post my pictures?

Well, I've been having a lot of milestones come and go and I haven't put any of them down so I'll just write. The kids started school at their new school. We moved down here and got all settled just in time. Soph is in 4th grade and Caleb is in 1st. We also signed Elsie up for Preschool and she's loving it. She's discovered what fun it is to be around friends all morning instead of stuck by herself with her mom:). They even went to the Zoo this week.

Ryan is really enjoying work at the hospital and feels like he's really found his calling in life. I'm happy because they are all happy. I just celebrated birthday number 34! Sometimes I can't believe I'm that old because I remember seeing ladies in their 30's and thinking they were soooo old.

But my sister posted 32 things about her life right now for her kids and I thought I'd post 34--(She's also a little competitive so I'm going to outdo her;))

2. I try to run--i should say jog
3. I like to clean
4. I like to organize toys all day long;)
5. I really like cookie dough in the freezer so I can eat it whenever I want
6. I love my sisters
7. I try to talk to one sister at least once a day
8. I hate talking on the phone but really try too
9. I feel like I need to go back to school but just can't bring myself to do it
10. I like the smell of fresh clean laundry
11. I love fall time the most with all the colors and nip in the air
12. I like traveling but feel myself becoming more of a home body
13. I love watching movies with Ryan
14. I like to find a more interesting movie than he does--we love Classics and Documentaries
15. I'm starting to appreciate cooking a little more every day

19. I love watching what a good dad Ryan is

25. I have a hard time giving my kids their independence--I'm not ready for it

27. I have a hard time showering every day--it takes too much time.

31. I love spending our summers in Driggs--I just wish dad could be there with us too
32. I like my smile and feel lucky my parents were willing to invest in it.
