We are now officially home with Annie. We brought her home at around 1:30pm yesterday and she is doing great here. We were somewhat worried about how Ruby especially would react and at first our worries were confirmed! Ruby didn't really want much to do with her at all. However, as the day today progressed, Ruby warmed up to her baby sister. The shot here that includes Ruby is sort of indicative of her early relations with Annie (back turned).
So, she has been doing great since coming home! Today she had the pediatrician visit and he just reconfirmed to us how miraculous Annie's journey has been so far. He said something to the effect of "do you realize what a miracle she is??" He pointed out how amazing it is that she didn't have any brain bleeds, no infections, no eye problems and no slew of other things that could have gone wrong. We do feel so grateful and are so happy to have her home with us. So, now we begin the real adventure--life at home with five kiddos.
Thank you all so much for your love and support of us through this journey. We have felt your steady presence through the many ups and downs and count ourselves very blessed indeed to have friends and family like you. May you all be blessed in your various journeys as well!

I love that first picture with all your girls. So glad she is home...oh, and Ashlee knows the baby of the family does kind of ruin life for the fantastic forth child.
