Annie gained another couple oz since yesterday and weighs almost 3 lb 12 oz. The biggest thing that happened today is that the docs all pow-wowed and discussed Annie's persistent desaturations and they determined they would start her on some anti-reflux medication. The hope is that clearing away some of the reflux they will free her airway and thus reduce the desats and A's and B's. The are some side effects from the meds but they are minimal at this point. They also feel that the PDA is actually shutting on its own...just EXTREMELY slowly. Also, they don't think the PDA is the primary cause of her breathing problems. So, they're trying to figure it out by reducing the reflux and seeing what happens. Other than that, Annie is doing great!
