Tomorrow Annie will be one month old (she's 32 adjusted weeks today)! Here's the latest:
Annie is at 21% with 1 Liter of O2--this is room air basically with high flow O2. She still desaturates some but it's looking good. On her weight she went up 10 grams, which is not substantial enough to change things from the 3 lb 3 oz she was before--it is a gain though and that's good! Today the doctors decided it would be good to introduce Annie tomorrow to the idea of breast feeding, so that adventure will begin tomorrow with the occupational therapist. We will also get to hold her tomorrow while they change out Annie's isolette (they do that every two weeks). Other big news: the tests they ran to check for infection came back negative, so we know now definitively that Annie does not have an infection. That's great to hear! We are all wondering when/if the PDA valve is going to close and it was still loud and clear tonight--so no change there unfortunately. Things are looking great! BTW, this other picture is not Annie, as you can see. This is Ruby doing what she loves most right now--trying on mom's shoes!

Oh, that's wonderful! I remember how breastfeeding helped my emotions so much, so I can only imagine how Nicki feels. Plus, more contact! Yay!
Ruby looks just like a minature Nick! So cute. It's great to hear Annie is growing. She's determined! I'm glad you will get to feed, hold and cuddle her.
