Summer Fun

Here is part of our crazy summer crew. You can only imagine a house full of 2 grandparents, 5 sisters, 5 patient brothers-in-law, and 22 crazy kids! We have had such a fun summer and what follows is a lengthy picture collection of some of the madness. Enter if you dare but don't say I didn't warn you. The first picture above is our adventure to Teton Canyon. We climbed a slower and much more shallow waterfall than our more frequented one. The kids all took off without the adults and headed right up the steep mountain face. The water was so loud they couldn't hear our paniced shouts trying to get them to turn around!
We also took over the pool for our week of swimming lessons. Between all the cousins we took up four sessions where they learned to jump, dive, and even kayak.

And when we got to cold in the pool we were able to gather in the hot tub. We can proudly say that not one kid was lost:)

Just gathering for meal time--about the only time we would see those patient brothers-in-law and grandpa. . .

They did spare a few moments out of the game to sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the course, and of their wives. It is so fun to all be together.
Little Missy was invited to the party too. She liked seeing her dad too.
We celebrated birthdays together. Here Mister Cannon was turning six so he taught everyone how to take a serious swing at his pinata.
For the Fourth of July Parade, all of our big girls got to dance. Nothing like a small town parade for a girl to really shine--which, I think, is why they are all squinting in the picture:)

Later that night we got to go and enjoy a show put on by the Huntsmans--including Mr. Glenn Beck. It was pretty amazing listening to stories of our founding fathers and then to hear the music play patriotic songs to our fireworks show!
But this is the most amazing thing, is how much this baby girl is growing. She's such a good baby and a happy kid. We are all loving her and squeezing her. Now that we are home she's going to miss all of those extra hands that took such good care of her.
The kids found ways to earn money--between babysitting and lemonade stands the kids made a haul. They enjoyed spending it at Family Dollar!
And finally, to top it all off, Ryan finally got sworn in as an official Air Force Reserve Chaplain. We had a special swearing in at Hill AFB with Chaplain Cyr! We've still got some things to take care of before we are in the computer system, of course, but it's almost official.
Needless to say, we are all a little tired but we've had such a nice summer so far. We are back home and getting settled into our duties here. I love my family and will be praying that I don't feel too lonely without them.
